Corbett was asked by the government to kill the Champawat Tiger in Nepal when it began killing. Corbett was successful in his mission and the tiger died in the jungle. Cody Hemingway

Some of the most famous hunters in history have been American, such as Buffalo Bill Cody. Buffalo Bill was a well-known buffalo runner, who killed over 4000 bison during his career. He was also famous for his hunting skills. He was the first American to shoot buffalo using a trapdoor Springfield Model 1866. In fact, he beat out a Henry repeater during a shooting contest. Despite these achievements, buffalo hunting is not permitted today.

While in Wyoming, Ernest Hemingway once stayed at the Chamberlin Inn in Cody. He traveled to the town with his son Jack and his second wife Pauline. He decided to visit Cody's L Bar T Ranch. While at the inn, the current owners found a signed register in the basement of the inn. Hemingway Suite was also a room that the current owners named after him.

St. George Littledale

Legend has it that St. George Littledale hunted a tur from the Canadian Arctic. Littledale was frustrated by a misty mountain that covered the area and prevented him from seeing the tur. Littledale and his fellow companions waited every morning for Littledale, but they couldn't find it due to the mist. They eventually found the tur on a high mountain ledge. Littledale and his guide were waiting for them from the early hours of the morning. Littledale was already up at 2 a.m., and had returned home by 8 p.m.

St. George Littledale wasn't the most famous hunter. He couldn't kill the wolf and had to return to camp. However, this did not stop him from writing about wolves. He had no idea the ram would prove so dangerous and that hunters could survive in such situations. The book also includes stories of Littledale's life. While writing this book, Littledale was inspired by his trip to the Arctic and his love for the animals.
